Garbage is picked up once per week.
There is a maximum of 3 bags per week 15 Kg (35 Lbs) each.
Blue Box Recycling Program
Recycling is picked up every second week on the same day as your garbage.
Please sort and rinse out your recyclables before putting them at the curb.

Recycling Blue Boxes are $5.00 each at the Household Hazardoes Waste Depot or at the Reception Desk at City Hall.
If your Blue Box is damaged and needs to be replaced, you can bring it to the Household Hazardoes Waste Depot to be recycled and purchase a new Blue Box.

Please have your garbage and recyclables by the curb by 7:00 am, but no earlier than 6:00 pm the night before.
White Goods
Large appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers are items that cannot be placed at the curb due to their size and weight.
If the appliance is still in good working order, it can be sold or sent to a second hand store. If the appliance is no longer working, there are numerous alternatives:
- The City of North Bay, Merrick Landfill site will accept appliances based on the tipping fee schedule.
- Local scrap dealers may accept white goods - please call them for details

Garbage is collected twice per week. You may use up to 6 garbage/receptacles/cans that weigh no more than 35 pounds each.
Pick-up is delayed one day after statutory holidays. See Holidays for more information.
Should the holiday fall on a Saturday or Sunday, Monday will be considered the Holiday for collection purposes. Otherwise check the city of North bay ads on Saturday in the Nugget or Blue Box Calendar for the collection schedule.
