A Minor Variance Application has been submitted by Miller & Urso Surveying Inc. on behalf of Terence and Lyne Way-White, 998 Elizabeth Street, seeking relief from Zoning By-law 2015-30 as follows: 1) Table 5B to reduce the Minimum Rear Yard setback from 10.5m to 6m for the proposed dwelling; 2) Table 5B to reduce the Minimum Lot Frontage from 15m to existing 11.58m; 3) Section 3.20.1 to permit an accessory structure in the front yard; and 4) Section 3.43 to permit the parking and storage of a recreational vehicle in the front yard. The applicants will be constructing a new dwelling facing Elizabeth Street. As a result of the lot being a through lot, the shortest lot line is considered the front lot line therefore the variances are required in order to develop the property where the front yard will essentially become their back yard.
The Committee of Adjustment has appointed Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the City Hall 7th Floor Executive Boardroom, 200 McIntyre Street East, North Bay for a Public Hearing in this matter.
