Please be advised that the City of North Bay has received an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 13, as amended. This application has been deemed to be a complete submission. This letter is to notify you of the proposed amendment, to invite your comments and questions and to advise you that there will be a Public Meeting before City Council pertaining to the proposed amendment.

A Public Meeting regarding this proposal will be held at City Council. Notice for this upcoming meeting will be given in the manner prescribed under the Planning Act. In advance of the meeting, the City of North Bay is asking interested members of the public to provide their comments related to the proposed amendment.

This application has been deemed to be a complete submission. This letter is to notify you of the proposed amendment, to invite your comments and questions and to advise you that there will be a Public Meeting before City Council pertaining to the proposed amendment.

In advance of the meeting, the City of North Bay is asking interested members of the public to provide their comments related to the proposed amendment.

The subject property is located at 272 Third Avenue East. It has frontage of 55.854 metres and a total lot area of 2,018.7 m2, as shown on Schedule A. The property is currently designated “Residential” under the City of North Bay Official Plan and zoned “Residential Third Density (R3)” under Zoning By-law 2015-30. The property was once developed with a local retail store. However, this structure was destroyed by fire and the property now sits vacant.

Miller and Urso Surveying Inc., on behalf of the property owner Staples Construction, has submitted an application to amend Zoning By-law 2015-30 to rezone the property to a “Residential Sixth Density (R6)” zone.

The purpose of the application is to permit the redevelopment of the property as a fourplex.

Please call, mail or email your comments or questions to Peter Carello (Senior Planner – Current Operations) before 4:30 p.m. on June 26th, 2018. Comments received will be summarized in a report that will be submitted to City Council for their consideration.  If you so choose, you may also provide comments in person at the Public Meeting at City Council.
