Trout Lake Road Overpass Night Work

2017-11-17

In an attempt to expedite the completion of the Trout Lake Road Overpass Project, the contractor will be working 24hrs a day from Sunday evenings to Friday evenings for a projected period of 4 weeks ending on December 15th. The contractor will do their level best to plan their construction activities in an effort to minimize noise pollution and disturbance to the public.

Lakeshore Drive and Judge Avenue Traffic Update

On Friday, November 3rd, the City’s traffic department will be working at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Judge Avenue to remove the temporary traffic measures that were put in place for the construction of the overpass and to reinstate it to its original configuration. A police officer will be present to direct traffic during this time and motorists may be detoured for a short duration as the changes are being implemented.

The City of North Bay would like to caution the public about upcoming traffic and pedestrian delays along the Trout Lake Road overpass. On Wednesday, July 19 between 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. motorists and pedestrians can expect delays along the overpass due to the required jacking of the bridge deck for substructure repairs. Traffic is expected to be delayed up to 10 minutes per occurrence. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use an alternate route during this time to avoid a delay.

Trout Lake Road Overpass Bridge Rehabilitation Update

Rehabilitation of the Trout Lake Road Overpass project has been awarded to Miller Paving Limited which works are currently in progress. Due to the nature of the work, traffic will be reduced to two lanes on the overpass (one lane in each direction) for the duration of the project which is scheduled for completion November 2017.
