Arts, Heritage and Culture
North Bay's strength as a community today begins with a deep respect for our history and heritage. From these roots has emerged a dynamic community built by the creativity and imagination of all those who came here to build a life for themselves and their families. Today we draw strength from our diversity and a shared sense of community and identity. Our culture and heritage is the glue that connects old residents and new, our past and our future.
North Bay provides many opportunities to experience arts, culture and entertainment in the downtown district. There is always something happening be it an annual event, the Farmer's Market or one of the many activities listed on the 'Calendar of Events'. You can be sure there is something for everyone!

The cultural traditions and practices of the First Nations are a tremendous part of our community. The North Bay Indian Friendship Centre provides a wide array of programs and services to support Aboriginal people of all ages.
North Bay's Cultural Directory is a work in process. It provides a listing of cultural resources such as theatres, galleries, artists, musicians, historical sites and art businesses that is growing on a daily basis.
