2018 Asphalt Resurfacing Program

Rehabilitation of various roads in the City of North Bay will commence on Monday June 11th and will be completed by the end of November 2018. Also included is the rehabilitation of the Kate Pace Way multi-use pathway on Memorial Drive from Stanley Street to Monk Street and on the Cranberry Trail approx. 400m north of Cranberry Road.  

Due to the nature of the work, traffic will be impacted. Roads will remain open to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. In the event a road is closed, detours will be put in place to direct travelers around the site. However, the pathway in vicinity of construction will be closed and users detoured if public safety is a concern.

The contractor’s projected work schedule for the next couple of weeks includes:

  • Road Reconstruction
    • Cartier Street – McKeown to McGibbon
  • Pulverize and Pave
    • Carmichael Drive – Airport to Littledown Lane
    • Mulligan Avenue – Lakeshore to Beaver
    • Albert Street – Frost to Vanier
    • Marshall Avenue – Marshall Park to bridge
  • Mill and Pave
    • Lakeshore Drive – Various sections from Overpass to Marshall Park
    • Main Street East – Pedestrian Walkway to Overpass
    • Ferguson Street – McIntyre to Worthington
    • Victoria Street West – Ferguson to Fraser
    • Marshall Avenue – Lakeshore Drive to Marshall Park
