Drinking Water System Operational Plan
Council unanimously endorsed the City of North Bay’s Drinking Water System Operational Plan. Council’s endorsement is one of the 21 requirements of the Ministry of Environment’s Drinking Water Quality Management Standard. These submissions are required in order to obtain accreditation and a Municipal Drinking Water Licence under the Safe Drinking Water Act (2002).
Rock Blasting Contract Approved
Council approved a recommendation to award a contract to Teranorth Construction and Engineering Limited in the amount of $285,035.00 (plus HST) for Metcalfe St. Rock Blasting. The rock removal project will allow for the upcoming extension of sanitary sewer and watermain.
Geotechnical Testing Services (GTS) Contract Approved
Council approved a recommendation to award a contract to Englobe Corp. in the estimated amount of $353,035.00 (plus HST) for Geotechnical Testing Services for four City capital projects. Testing is required by the City in order to ensure contractor construction processes and materials meet the requirements of the contract and provincial standard specifications.
