Communications and Strategic Development Officer announced
The City of North Bay is excited to announce Jaclyn Bucik as the Communications and Strategic Development Officer effective June 6, 2016.
Bucik comes to the City with a decade of communications experience in the public sector, most recently as the Community Relations Specialist at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital where she was responsible for a variety of communications initiatives including corporate communications, branding, media relations and event management. She holds a diploma in journalism from Humber College.
“I am extremely excited to be joining the City of North Bay at such an important time,” said Bucik. “One of the things I am most looking forward to is connecting and meeting with residents, businesses and City employees, and working closely with them to build upon and strengthen the relationships that already exist.”
Bucik joins the City at a key time as the search continues for a new Chief Administrative Officer and work is underway on a new Strategic Plan. She will be responsible for expanding the City’s current internal and external communications program.
“We are very pleased to welcome Jaclyn to this new role,” said Lea Janisse, Interim Chief Administrative Officer. “Jaclyn’s background in communication will make her a key addition to the City of North Bay.”
"This role facilitates Council and staff’s commitment to enhance communication with our community,” said Mayor Al McDonald. “Jaclyn’s expertise in this area will assist and allow us to provide our citizens with timely information and enable our citizens to be better connected with city business and operations.”
