Mayor hosting business forum for future business leaders
North Bay, ON – March 30, 2017 – Mayor Al McDonald announced Thursday that the City of North Bay will be hosting “Opening Doors for Business” for local residents aimed at celebrating and inspiring future business leaders.
The business forum, co-sponsored by The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound, will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Grande Event Centre from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
“The best way to grow the economy is to motivate the growth of small and medium businesses locally,” said Mayor Al McDonald. “We hope this panel will inspire and encourage people in North Bay and surrounding communities with an interest in business to think about becoming entrepreneurs.”
McDonald said the forum will give participants information about starting their own business, including highlighting local services and supports. The business forum will also share secrets of success from successful local entrepreneurs and business leaders.
“Business is the backbone for all successful cities to create jobs and opportunities for citizens,” said McDonald. “We want local entrepreneurs to think about our city as a great place to start or expand their business, and know that it would be a welcome addition to our economy.”
Opening Doors for Business will include opportunities to network and engage with local business leaders and professionals. Scheduled panelists include: Vicky Paine-Mantha (Brontaine Ltd.), Conrad Guziewicz (Sandbank Homes), Jennifer McNutt Bywater (Vested Interest), George Flumerfelt (J.S.
