Modified hours for City facilities over the holidays

North Bay, ON – December 16, 2016 – The City of North Bay facilities and services have modified hours for the holidays as follows:

Civic Offices: All administrative offices will be closed on Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27.  Offices will also be closed on Monday, January 2.  For any public works emergencies involving roads, water mains and sewer systems, please contact the Public Works Dispatch line at 705-474-4340.

North Bay Transit: There will be a shortened schedule for Saturday, December 24 with the last bus leaving the downtown terminal at 6:30 p.m.  There will be no bus service on December 25, but Para Bus will be running.  Transit will be running Sunday service on December 26 and regular service on December 31. There will be no bus service on January 1.

Waste Collection: There will be no garbage or blue box collection on December 26 and January 2.  Your pick-up will be one day later if it falls on the holiday.  Collection for the remainder of the week will also be delayed by one day.

Landfill: The Merrick Landfill will close at 12 p.m. on December 24 and December 31. The landfill will be closed on December 25, December 26, January 1, and January 2.

Arenas: Memorial Gardens, West Ferris Community Centre, and Pete Palangio Arena will close at 12 p.m. on December 24 and December 31.  All community arenas will be closed December 25, December 26, and January 1.

North Bay Public Library: The Library will close at 12 p.m. on December 24 and reopen at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28.  The Library will close again at 12 p.m. on December 31 and reopen at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3.
