New water main flushing areas announced for July 4-8
NORTH BAY, ON – July 4, 2016 – The City of North Bay has finished uni-directional flushing (water main flushing) in the Brennan St., Pearson St., and Graham Drive area. Flushing will now begin in the Commerce Crescent, Progress Rd., Venture Crescent and Wallace Rd. area, and then proceed to Franklin St., Laurier Ave., Regina St., Hammond St. and York St. area.
Flushing is anticipated to last from July 4 until approximately July 8, 2016.
Staff will be going block by block in the given areas and will inform Public Works Dispatch each day as to where they will be flushing and what areas will be affected.
Residents may experience low water pressure and/or cloudy water while the flushing is underway. Once the flushing stops water pressure will go back to normal and the cloudy water will dissipate.
We ask that motorists exercise caution when driving in areas where City crews are working.
If you have any questions or concerns or just want to verify that flushing is occurring in your area, call Public Works Dispatch at 705-474-4340.
