Public input sought on heritage plaque

North Bay, ON – March 13, 2017 – The North Bay Municipal Heritage Committee is asking for the public’s advice and perspective on a proposed heritage plaque for the former Barry Building.  The former Barry Building was the site of one of North Bay’s largest and most tragic accidents, the violent explosion of January 1975 that claimed the lives of nine community members and injured several others.

Out of respect for those affected by the tragedy, the Municipal Heritage Committee is asking for family and community members’ advice and perspective on the proposed plaque.
