Transit & Para Bus
In the interests public health North Bay Transit suspended fare collection on March 20. Since that time, North Bay Transit has implemented a number of health and safety protocols and will be re-introducing fare collection on Monday, June 15, 2020.
When boarding a North Bay Transit bus, you will notice some changes. Buses are now equipped with a barrier separating operators and passengers. Buses will also have a limit of 15 passengers, this will be done to maintain a safe environment for everybody and allow people to maintain social distance.
On June 1, 2020 pass sales will resume at the transit terminal. On June 15, North Bay Transit will resume collecting fares on transit and para buses. Exact change will be accepted as usual on buses. For conventional transit, when paying with a single trip pass or a 10-trip pass, please display the pass to the operator and follow the instructions of the bus operator and the signs posted on the bus. Users of the Parabus system are asked to also follow the instructions of the operators when paying fares. March monthly passes will be accepted for the month of June. June monthly passes will be sold at the transit terminal for the following prices:
In addition, if you choose to use North Bay Transit or Parabus services, we recommend that you do not board the bus if you are feeling unwell or are showing symptoms of COVID-19. Please respect the social distancing recommendations of health professionals and leave space between yourself and other transit riders. Following these recommendations will support the health and safety of Transit users and operators and mitigate the transmission of the COVID 19 virus.
We look forward to continuing to safely serve our community.
