North Bay Science Festival

Description

Join us on November 14 - 18, 2017 for the first North Bay Science Festival. This is truly a festival for all ages, and includes a celebration of science and technology in a fun and dynamic setting. 2017 is a very exciting year for the Festival! With the support of Ontario 150 we will be highlighting science innovation and cultural heritage in celebration of Ontario's past 150 years.

Science Festival Events:
Science Innovation And Math Outreach Programs
From November 14 -17 The Science North Bluecoats will be in schools all across North Bay, delivering fun, hands-on programming to students in grades K-8. The programming focuses on science and innovation with a mathematics twist! Registration is by invitation to local schools. For more information contact: SciFest@sciencenorth.ca

Under the Same Stars: Minwaadiziwin
From November 14 -17 at the Science North Planetarium, students (designed for grades 4 – 8) will learn about the Indigenous worldview and sit at the fire with two people who are connected to the traditional ways. Science Olympics (Special Registration Required)
On November 16th and 17 Science North is excited to offer an action-packed experience for secondary schools that will provide an opportunity for teams of students from grades 9 to 12 to experience science challenges competing against the clock.
