World AIDS Day 2019

AIDS Awareness Week is coming up November 24th to December 1st, 2019 and there will be a Point of Care HIV Testing Drive on Wednesday, November 27th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area (201 - 269 Main Street West).

Once again we will gather together to mark World AIDS Day on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the White Water Gallery (122 Main Street East, North Bay, ON). Door opens at 10:00AM for reception. Warm apple cider and delicious baked goods will be served. The event begins at 10:30 AM til noon.

With help of our local dignitaries and officials, we will have a vigil to remember those we've lost to HIV/AIDS and mark the day by reading the official World AIDS Day proclamation for North Bay. After the ceremony, we will join our volunteers and friends to tie red scarves in downtown North Bay as part of the Red Scarf Project to bring HIV/AIDS awareness. Local art galleries and tattoo studios will be exhibiting displays dedicated to those lost in the world arts community to HIV/AIDS as part of Day Without Art.

Be sure to like and follow us on Facebook as we will keep you posted as more events roll out and when additional surprised yarn bomb happen in our catchment area during AIDS Awareness Week. Hope you can join us for our World AIDS Day event on Friday, November 29th! Everyone is welcome!
