Canada Day

July 1st marks the anniversary of Canada’s Confederation. The City of North Bay is proud to host this event at the waterfront. The celebrations include a road race, sailboat regatta, KidSport Fun Zone, museum exhibits, a multicultural showcase, soccer game, cake cutting ceremony and much more

Families First

The goal of the Families First New Year's Eve Celebrations is to give people in our community the opportunity to ring in the New Year with families and friends in an alcohol and drug free environment. Through donations from local sponsors, we provide the event to the public free of charge.

Volunteer Positions:

16 + only: Skating patrol, coloring contest, face painting and inflatables

Outdoor Rinks

A number of the City's outdoor rinks require the support of volunteers for rink start up, maintenance, building supervision and programming. If there are no volunteers, there will be no rink in the neighborhood

Volunteer Positions:

18 + only: Ice preparation, ice cleaning, supervision, open and closure of rink building

After School Programs& Youth Centres

The City of North Bay runs both After School and Youth Centre programs.  Get involved with our community youth programming, recreation programming, positive peer mentorship and facilitation.

Volunteer Positions:

16 + only: Youth Programmer, Peer Mentor, Program Facilitation

Santa Claus Parade

The Santa Claus Parade is a community event that brings together local organizations, businesses and community partners to showcase their talents based on the years’ theme, and a guest appearance of Santa Claus.
