City issues Open Air Burning ban
NORTH BAY, ON – August 9, 2016 – In response to extremely dry conditions across the region, the North Bay Fire and Emergency Services has issued a ban on all open air fires in the City of North Bay effective immediately.
The recent hot and dry weather has created conditions that make even controlled burning dangerous, and this risk can quickly lead to fast and uncontrolled spread of fire. All open air fires are prohibited during a fire ban, including campfires and fireworks.
The Open Air Burning ban will remain in place until conditions improve.
