City Of North Bay Active Transportation Master Plan
NORTH BAY, ON - The public is invited to a presentation of the City of North Bay’s Draft Active Transportation Master Plan. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:30 pm at Memorial Gardens (100 Chippewa St. W.) in the North Bay Sports Wall of Fame section of the arena. Jim Scott of Trace Planning and Design, the project’s lead landscape architect and planner, will present the draft plan then facilitate a discussion with attendees.
The Active Transportation Master Plan provides the necessary framework for planning, upgrading, and developing the city’s active transportation system over the next 20 years. The plan addresses North Bay’s growing need to expand its active transportation system beyond recreation-focused trail systems to a network that promotes, encourages, and increases daily non-motorized commuting and transportation travel throughout the city.
