KIRA ISABELLA DOIN “A LITTLE MORE WORK” ON SATURDAY
It’s a hot country concert at Summer in the Park and Kira Isabella gets the party goin with her sweet, sweet sounds. Don’t miss Saturday night, August 4th, at Summer in the Park!!!
With a decade of performing up-tempo country music across Canada - Kira Isabella has an impressive resume.
Unstoppable since the age of seven, Kira has been belting out songs and entering every competition possible within driving distance of her hometown, Ottawa.
“She’s got a huge stage presence, a bubbly personality, and so much natural talent”, said Summer in the Park Co-Chair, Geoff Richardson. “No wonder she won practically every competition, she’s a crowd pleaser”.
Always looking for an expressive outlet, Kira started writing poetry and lyrics about love, life and boys. She has fine-tuned her sound, performing her own songs and various music hundreds of times. When she discovered powerhouse country vocalists Shania Twain and Faith Hill, however, she was hooked on country.
Her crowd pleasing stage presence is the result of hard work and dedication to her craft. Kira has performed with Canadian country stars Jessie Farrell, Aaron Pritchett and Gord Bamford. By 2009 the buzz surrounding Kira's powerful pipes and dynamic sound couldn't be ignored, and she was signed to Sony Music Entertainment Canada.
Kira released her first single “Love Me Like That,” in 2011, a runaway hit crossing over into the Canadian Hot 100 Chart, earning a 2012 Canadian Radio Music Award in the Country category.
Her rise continued through 2012 performing at summer festivals such as Boots and Hearts and Big Valley Jamboree. She also released another single “A Little More Work” which quickly climbed the charts giving her another hit.
In 2012 Kira earned a Canadian Country Music Award for Rising Star, a highlight for the youngsongstress. Kira was added for select dates on Carrie Underwood’s ‘Blown Away Tour’ in 2012, just in time for her debut album release ‘Love Me Like That’.
“Kira Isabella moves people with her performances. Her lyrics and melodies are amazing.” said Richardson. “She kicks off a killer country lineup. If you love country you’re gonna love Saturday, August 4th, it’s the hottest ticket in town.”
Richardson added, “Tickets for the August 4th show with Headliner Dean Brody with opening act Kira Isabella start at only $40 (plus HST and ticketing fees). Tickets are on sale now so get yours today.
