Your Civic long weekend need not R.I.P. as Headstones literally wake the dead with their punk infused hard rock edge, and perform Saturday, August 5th at Summer in the Park in North Bay.

Headstones are a Canadian punk-influenced alternative rock band.  They began in 1987 in Kingston and after a 10 year hiatus, are back stronger than ever, frequently selling out shows across Canada.   Known for their high energy live shows Headstones consists of vocalist Hugh Dillon, guitarist Trent Carr, and bassist Tim White.

You’ve probably heard one of their many popular hits over the years such as “Smile and Wave”, “Long Way to Neverland”, “Tweeter & the Monkey Man”, “Three Angels” and “Cubically Contained”.

Their hit “When Something Stands for Nothing” went platinum. Their new album Little Army is released June 2, with the new single “Devil’s On Fire” already lighting up the active rock charts.

“This is pure, unadulterated rock with attitude,” said Summer in the Park Committee Member, Jeff Serran.  “Saturday night will blow your hair back and bring back memories for those of us who remember the alt –rock and punk eras”.

Wrist bands are only $35 including HST until July 1st.  Your wristband covers the cost of the entire festival weekend.

“35 bucks for a weekend of high octane fun in the summer sun.  You can’t beat the price and you can’t beat the weekend of entertainment”, said Serran.
