• Potholes
    Potholes are prevalent during the spring due to freeze thaw cycles. During the warm weather, snow melts which causes water to seep into cracks in the asphalt saturating the soil underneath. Drops in temperature or contact with frost below cause the water in the soil to freeze and expand, pushing up the asphalt. Passing vehicles breaks the asphalt causing potholes.
  • Outdoor Rink Closure
    The Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services Department would like to advise the community that ALL MUNICIPAL OUTDOOR RINKS are CLOSED for the season. Light timers have been shut off and signage has been posted.

    North Bay, Ontario: Following Council’s unanimous resolution of the formation of an Economic Development Corporation in December 2014, the Economic Development Advisory Board had their inaugural meeting.
  • Temporary Water Lines
    The City of North Bay wishes to remind residents that the temporary hose connection you have in place supplying your residence with water may not be potable.
    The City of North Bay building numbers are ahead of last year for this period. The City is at a construction value total of $8.8M compared to $4.2M at the same time last year.
