    North Bay, ON – July 20, 2023 – Due to extremely wet conditions, most ball diamonds, soccer fields, and football fields have been closed today. All games and practices are cancelled. Powerade Field and Minute Maid Fields at the Omischl Complex will remain open tonight.

    North Bay, ON – July 13, 2023 – The City of North Bay is advising residents that Lamorie Street will be closed for an extended period time starting later this month while bridge rehabilitation work takes place.

  • Lifeguards begin summer beach duty
    North Bay, ON – June 29, 2023 – Lifeguards will be on duty for the summer season starting tomorrow at Shabogesic Beach. However, due to ongoing recruitment challenges, lifeguards will not be available at Olmsted Beach on Trout Lake until Aug. 1, and they will not be on duty at the Birchaven Cove this year.
  • Arts and Culture Nights performance postponed
    North Bay, ON – June 27, 2023 – Tonight’s planned Arts and Culture Nights performance by the Anishinaabe Mitchell Sisters at the Kiwanis Bandshell has been postponed due to rain and a special air quality statement that remains in effect for the area. The performance will be rescheduled to take place on a later date.

    North Bay, ON – June 19, 2023 – Please be advised that there will be lane closures on Trout Lake Road for up to three days starting Tuesday, June 19 while work resumes to repair areas of the roadway that are delaminated and wheel-rutted. The work, which will be taking place between the Highway 11/17 bypass and Connaught Avenue, will affect one lane at a time.
  • City partners with Canadore for second annual waste audit
    North Bay, ON – June 16, 2023 – The City of North Bay has teamed up with students from Canadore College for a second consecutive year to audit the residential waste going to the Merrick Landfill.
  • Sidewalk replacement: McIntyre Street
    North Bay, ON – June 16, 2023 – Please be advised that curb and sidewalk replacement will be taking place next week on McIntyre Street, between Sherbrooke and Wyld streets. The work will start Monday at 7 a.m. and is expected to be completed by end of day Friday. The sidewalk on the east side of the street will be closed and the bus stop outside City Hall will be temporarily relocated south of Sherbrooke Street. Vehicular traffic will not be impacted.

Traffic will be able to move through the work area and all transit stops will be operational.

    North Bay, ON – June 8, 2023 - A construction project involving the removal of the bridge over Chippewa Creek at Third Avenue and Hammond Street is expected to proceed this summer to help improve safety and mitigate the risk of flooding to nearby properties.
