The City of North Bay has developed a Funding Access Strategy Team (FAST) to enable a more proactive and strategic approach to applying for and securing Provincial and Federal grant funding for City projects. FAST is comprised of the City’s Senior Management Team and is led by the Grant Facilitator. Meetings are held monthly, and are intended to achieve the following outcomes:
- A collaborative, proactive, and strategic review of grant funding opportunities
- Aligned City grant applications with community needs, City Strategic Plans, and the 10-year Capital Plan
- Improved City collaboration, transparency, and accountability
- Increased grant application approval rate
In addition to internal City projects, the Grant Facilitator is also available to work with local non-profits and community groups. The Grant Facilitator can help assist with identifying and applying for grants through in-kind support, and formal partnership.
