New City Website

We’ve been working hard for a number of months to redesign the City of North Bay’s website to in order to provide an improved experience for our visitors. Some sections of northbay.ca are still being constructed and content is being moved and added. We apologize for any disruptions during this transition.

The Design

The website features a refreshed look and improved navigation that will provide for a more user-friendly and better overall experience on desktop, mobile and tablet devices. We've also adopted a new shorter URL. 

Content Organization

To make it easier for visitors, information has been organized under a new menu system that categorizes pages according to subject rather than department. Many pages from the previous website have been rewritten and many unescessary pages have been removed in order to provide the most relevent and up-to-date informantion. 

Features include:

• improved search function.
• a Popular Pages menu at the top of each page displaying the five most popular subjects on the website.
• a Discover North Bay menu highlighting some of our other websites, as well as those of some of our partners.
• bylaw search results now sort to the top of the page and we have compiled a list of the most commonly used bylaws for easy access.
• numerous forms can now be submitted online
• anyone can now opt to receive notifications to such as news releases via push messages
